What is Progetto Zefiro?

Progetto Zefiro is a non-profit initiative that helps non-European workers come to work in Italy as care workers (operatore sociosanitario or OSS in Italian), in care homes or other services for non-self-sufficient elderly people, people with disabilities, and people with mental illnesses.

Progetto Zefiro:

 

  • Directly connects candidates with Italian organizations interested in hiring them, almost all of which are non-profit organizations.through organized job interviews.
  • Guides workers through the legal process for regular entry into Italy and assisting with the recognition of their international qualifications.
  • offers Italian language courses
  • helps workers who arrive in Italy with their job onboarding, with the goal of establishing stable, long-term employment.

Currently working wirh educational institutions in Peru and Sri Lanka, Progetto Zefiro plans to expand its reach to other countries soon

 

We actively seek collaborations with qualified international training institutions that prepare individuals for caregiving roles and are eager to offer their graduates opportunities to work in Italy.

 

Progetto Zefiro is an initiative of Insieme Si Può cooperative and Pia Opera Ciccarelli foundation championed by Uneba Veneto, a trade association that brings together approximately 100 entities operating in the social and healthcare sector in the Italian region of Veneto.
